Services for Clinton Russell Seay, 80, will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2017 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery Preservation Fund or Boys Home, P.O. Box 713 Newberry SC 29108. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mr. Seay passed away August 21, 2017. Born in New Brookland, SC, (now Springdale), he was the son of the late Henry Melvin (Jake) and Katie Belle Fulmer Seay. He was a lifetime member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church where 5 generations of his family preceded him. He was a descendent of Old Lexington District SC Pioneer families, an avid sportsman and outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. An electrician, he retired from Cashion Electricians after more than 39 years and was a member of 3270 USA Hospital Unit, U S Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years June A. Seay, daughter, Sheryl S. Wilson; son, Craig R. Seay, granddaughters, Stephanie A. and Cooper N. Wilson; brother, Carlisle F. Seay (Ruth); sisters, Elsie Adams, Sadie Richards and Gayle Thompson and a foster niece, Debra W. Willis.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Hermon M. Seay and Heyward A. Seay.
