Carol O Taylor

Carol O. Taylor, 77, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of the late Karl F. Oswald, Jr. and Edna F. Oswald.

A graduate of Lexington High School, Mrs. Taylor went on to graduate from USC with a Master's in Education (+30). She taught at Lexington High School and Lexington Technology Center. An active member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Carol served as a council member, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School.

Survivors include her loving husband, Nelson D. Taylor; son Martin Taylor (Ginger); daughter Laura T. Tyler; grandson William Hunter Taylor; sister Hope O. Creasman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her daughter Juley Ann Taylor; and sister Gail Oswald Davis.

A funeral service for Mrs. Taylor will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church 119 N. Church St., Lexington, SC, 29072, or Wittenberg Lutheran Church, 233 N. Lee St., Leesville, SC, 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home, and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
