Services for Betty Lee Hook Ray, will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Red Bank Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. before the service at the church. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Ray passed away December 2, 2017. Born in Lexington county, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Albert and Eva Frye Hook and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Backman (Leonard), Margie Horton (Glenn), son, Harold George Ray, Jr. (Julie), son-in-law, John "Tee" Derrick, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Ray, daughter, Connie Derrick, brother, Albert "Skinny" Hook and sister, Mary Rhoten.
