Irmo-Audie Marion Jennings of Irmo, 63, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Audie was a loving husband to his wife Edith of 41 years, commonly known as Ms. Audie. He was a loving daddy to his girls Stephanie Metze (Andre), Dana Lunsford (Bobby), and a wonderful "Boo Boo" to his three grandchildren Chanlar, Lillie Mae, and Kane.
Audie graduated from Irmo High School in 1972. He served as director of public works for the town of Lexington for 20 years. Because of his love for operating heavy equipment, he went on to laying water and sewer lines all over SC while working with GH Smith Construction Company.
Audie loved to hunt, fish, and "talk", making friends with everyone he met. Audie loved his Harley Davidson and was working to turn it into a trike so he and Edith could go out to Sturgess and visit all the places he had planned to go. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to East Lake Community Church, 10057 Broad River Rd., Irmo, SC 29063. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017, from 6 until 8 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. The memorial service will be held 3 o'clock, Monday, October 23, 2017 at East Lake Community Church.
