Lexington, SC- JoAn Claire (Hidde) Timm, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, April 20, 2024.
JoAn was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandma, oma, great-grandma and friend.
She did many things in her life, most importantly taking care of her family, during the years her husband served in the military. She worked for the Federal Government in Accounting, until she retired. After retirement, she went on to be a house parent, for teenage children, at Hillcrest Children's Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas, also volunteered in the traveling ministry with SOWERS (Servants on Wheels Ever Ready).
JoAn loved to play cards with her children and her grandchildren. She loved to talk about Jesus with everyone she met.
She is survived by her sister, Mary (Glen) Schuettpelz; her sister-in-law, Nancy (Timm) Bentley; her children, Scott Timm, Rowlett, TX, Cheryl (Doug) Ruesch, Beach Park, IL, Edward (Cynthia) Timm Jr., West Columbia, SC, Lori (John) Nogler, Lexington, SC, and Lynn Morris, Lexington, SC; 8 grandchildren, Renee, Jonathan, Jennifer, Justin, Wesley, Erik, Loni and Dana; 11 great-grandchildren, Avery, Abigail, Lily, Karl, Elsie, Macie, Kasey, Alfie, Jimmi, Xander and Bentley; Aunt Marion and Uncle Joe, many nieces, nephews and dear friends, whom she loved very much.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward W Timm Sr.; her parents, George and Ethel Hidde; her in-laws, Walter and Anna Timm; one brother-in-law, Walter Timm Jr.; her sister-in-law, Caroline (Timm) Parrent; her son, Larry Timm; and her grandson, Michael Morris.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Crossroads World Outreach Center, 2606 Emanuel Church Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Noon) prior to the service at the church. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
